Kendra Bishop Leads Spartans to Eighth Place Finish

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa women’s golf team was eighth at the Bethune-Cookman College Invitational as freshman Kendra Bishop paced the squad with a third-place showing.
The Spartans shot rounds of 382 and 370 to finish at 752 as host BCC won the event with a 633. South Carolina State, Florida Atlantic, Central Connecticut State and Hampton also finished in the top-five.
Bishop finished at 157, with rounds of 76 and 81 in the two-day tournament. A total of 50 golfers participated.
Also competing for Tampa were Stephanie Norman (189), Allie Steffens (205), Kelsey Kennedy (205) and Kara Flando (221).
Tampa returns to the course on March 15-16 as it will be a part of the Northern Illinois Invitational. The event will be hosted by Northern Illinois University in Tampa, Fla.
